The President extended condolences to Macedonia on the death of its first President

Wednesday, January 4, Vilnius - President Dalia Grybauskaitė offered condolences to Macedonian leader Gjorge Ivanov and all people of Macedonia over the death of their first President Kiro Gligorov.

„I was deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Mr. Kiro Gligorov, the first President of the Republic of Macedonia. We will remember President Gligorov as a great statesman who brought your country to independence and who did everything he could to keep Macedonia and its people out of the wars that engulfed the former Yugoslavia," Dalia Grybauskaitė wrote in her message of condolences.
