The President congratulated the Latvian leader on Independence Day

Friday, November 18, Vilnius - President Dalia Grybauskaitė extended congratulations to President Andris Bērziņš of Latvia on Independence Day.

"As Lithuania and Latvia mark the twentieth anniversary of the reestablishment of diplomatic relations, I would like to see our bilateral dialogue and practical cooperation, based on mutual understanding and good neighborliness, grow even stronger. I firmly believe that our joint actions will enhance national and regional security and help eliminate energy isolation, while our responsible financial and economic policies will create a strong foundation for the economic growth and well-being of our countries," the President wrote in her message of congratulations.

Dalia Grybauskaitė wished the President and the people of the neighboring country every success and prosperity.
