Dalia Grybauskaitė extended condolences to the President of Italy on the death of President Francesco Cossiga

Tuesday, August 17, Vilnius - President Dalia Grybauskaitė expressed, on behalf of the people of Lithuania and herself, condolences to President Giorgio Napolitano of the Italian Republic on the death of President Francesco Cossiga.

"It was in the years of President Francesco Cossiga's leadership that diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Italy were restored and therefore, my country is deeply grieved by his passing. I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to the President's family and to the people of Italy," Dalia Grybauskaitė wrote in her message of condolences.
