Dalia Grybauskaitė congratulated the Kazakh leader on independence anniversary

Friday, December 16, Vilnius - President Dalia Grybauskaitė extended congratulations to President Nursultan Nazarbayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the twentieth anniversary of Kazakhstan‘s independence.

"Over twenty years of independence, Kazakhstan has established its position in the international community as a responsible, trustworthy and constructive partner. I am very delighted that bilateral relations between our two countries in this period have also been marked by constructive development. The implementation of strategic transport projects, development of business relations, and increasing cultural and scientific cooperation serve as proof that our countries are important for each other and open further mutually beneficial opportunities," the President wrote in her message of congratulations.

According to President Dalia Grybauskaitė, direct dialogue of the Presidents of both countries is a key precondition for such successful cooperation.

The President wished Kazakhstan to further continue and enhance the achievements of the first two decades of independence and in bilateral relations with Lithuania to exhaust all opportunities and achieve the maximum mutual benefit.
