Life Saving Cross

The Cross is made of gold and covered with red enamel (36 mm). On the obverse, a wild dove carrying a laurel twig is set in the center with golden letters "SOS" engraved below. A stylized rider encircled with a black ring is placed on the reverse side. The inscription "For Life Saving" is engraved on the black ring. The breast ribbon is dark red moiré, 32 mm wide. It features two narrow white stripes on the sides. The Life Saving Cross may be conferred upon the same person several times. Each new bestowal is marked with a golden star attached to the breast ribbon.
